I am responsible:

  • All departmental financial accounts.
  • All aspects of grants applications and submissions, including pFACTs, liaising with sponsors, Research Group Leaders and Research Operations Office to achieve deadlines and improve the efficiency of submissions.
  • Administration of all active grants within the Department, including monthly reporting to the Research Group Leaders and reconciliation & management of grants on a daily basis.
  • Providing analysis and reconciliation of Research Group Leaders funds.
  • Communicating University procedures throughout the department.
  • Managing internal and external audits, i.e. liaise with departmental accounts team, internal auditors, Research Council & EU auditors, Health & Safety auditors.
  • Management of the financial year end.
  • Responding to requests for financial data and information from internal and external sources.
  • Providing financial administartion holiday cover for the Business & Operations Manager.
  • Line management of the Senior Acounts Clerk.
