The Department of Oncology generates world class oncology clinicians and research scientists through the following education and training programmes we provide:
- PhD and MPhil postgraduate degree courses; both full-time and part-time modes of study are available.
- Postdoctoral training programmes.
- Clinical academic training courses.
- Clinical training programmes in Clinical, Medical and Surgical Oncology. We also provide training in other oncology specialties, such as haematological and gastro-intestinal tract malignancies.
We also actively encourage up and coming scientists, providing internship opportunities for undergraduate students.

We also recognise the importance of training in personal, professional and career development and actively encourage our staff and students to take advantage of the many opportunities provided by the University. Please see the Cambridge University Skills Portal for further details.
