Basic Laboratory Research Themes

Basic laboratory research involves experimental investigation into how and why cancers develop, by comparing the biological processes of cell signalling, proliferation, differentiation and death in normal and cancerous tissues.

The Department's basic laboratory research activities can be divided into 5 key themes:
