I am responsible for:

  • Providing PA support to the Departmental Business & Operations Manager.
  • Dealing with all aspects of staff recruitment, including organising interviews and all associated written and telephone correspondence.
  • General HR administration, including:
    • responding to HR queries
    • tracking and recording staff probation periods and appraisals
    • recording staff annual leave and sickness leave
    • organising honorary contracts
    • dealing with applications for Research Passports
    • obtaining University cards
    • organising Visitor Agreements
    • responding to general departmental queries
  • Induction of new staff to the Department; includes preparation of welcome packs, drawing up induction schedules and organising staff access to University computing services.

 Additional:

  • I job share with Barbara Wall, who covers my job responsibilities when I am not available.

Working hours:

  • Tuesday & Thursday 8:45-14:45
  • Friday 9:15-14.45
