Many congratulations to the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre, led by Professor Richard Gilbertson, which has been re-accredited as a Comprehensive Cancer Centre by the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI) for a further five years. This is a prestigious designation which is only given to the top 20 Cancer Centres in Europe, including NKI in Amsterdam, L'Institut Curie and Gustave Roussy in Paris, and the Christie in Manchester. The accreditation covers both the quality of the clinical cancer services in Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) and Royal Papworth Hospital, and all the research and educational activities of the CRUK Cambridge Centre, from basic to clinical research.
